We have adapted modern large language models (LLMs) to work with Indonesia's local languages. BasaChat not only understands Bahasa Indonesia, but also regional languages such as Javanese, Sundanese, Acehnese, Balinese, and Minangkabau. With this approach, we hope to reach more Indonesians who may feel more comfortable communicating in their mother tongue.
